Man, 30, suffers serious injuries following crash in Swansea

A man has been left with serious injuries after a car crash in Swansea .

The incident happened at 7.55pm on Saturday evening on the A4217 Pentrechwyth bypass in Swansea.

A black Nissan Qashqai, which was travelling from the direction of Llansamlet towards Swansea, crossed the carriageway and crashed into some trees.

The driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old man, was left with serious injuries.

South Wales Police is now appealing for witnesses and is urging drivers who may have been on the A4217 to check their dash-cam fotage.

A police spokesman said: "Officers are mindful of the prevailing weather conditions at the time of the incident.  However, at this stage the exact cause of the collision has not been established.

"Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have seen the vehicle travelling immediately prior to the collision is asked to contact South Wales Police on 101 quoting reference number 1900359563.

"Officers are also appealing for any dash-cam or mobile phone footage to be checked from members of the public who may have been in the location at the time."
