A 30-year-old man was shot to death Saturday in Lawndale on the West Side.
The man was getting out of his vehicle about 6 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Keeler Avenue when someone opened fire on him, Chicago police said. He was struck multiple times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Though he has yet to be identified, the Cook County medical examiner’s office ruled the man’s death a homicide, saying in an autopsy Sunday that he died of multiple gunshot wounds.
No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
