Man, 30, dies suddenly while on family holiday at Flamingo Land

Police are investigating after a man died while on a family holiday at Flamingo Land.

The man, aged 30, was said to be enjoying a break with his family when he collapsed on Thursday (July 15), Yorkshire Live reports.

Officers were called to Flamingo Land's residential park, in Kirby Misperton, near Malton, at 10.34am after paramedics reported the sudden death to officers, North Yorkshire Police said.

It is believed the man collapsed after being taken ill and police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called to Flamingo Land Residential Park at Kirby Misperton, Malton, at 10.34am on Thursday (15 July 2021) after paramedics reported the sudden death of a 30-year-old man.

“It appears that the man had taken ill and collapsed while on family holiday.

“Officers are investigating the circumstances of the death.”

A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: “We have attended a caravan park in the area today to a medical incident.”

North Yorkshire Live has approached Flamingo Land for comment.
