Man, 30, arrested on suspicion of trying to 'meet child after sexual grooming'

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of trying to meet a child after sexual grooming.

Police were called following an incident in the Fountain Road area of Cookstown, Co Tyrone on Tuesday afternoon.

He was quizzed over allegedly attempting to meet a child after sexual grooming and sexual communication with a child.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "A 30-year-old man arrested on Tuesday 24th September on suspicion of attempting to meet a child after sexual grooming and sexual communication with a child in Cookstown has been released on bail pending further enquiries."
