A 29-year-old man was shot in the face Sunday in Hammond, Indiana.
Officers were called about 12:15 p.m. to the 4800 block of Elm Avenue for a “family related incident,” Hammond police said. There, they found the man who with a gunshot wound in the face.
The man was taken to a Chicago-area hospital in an unknown condition, police said.
A male suspect was taken into custody, and a weapon was recovered, police said.
