Man, 29, recovering at home after being airlifted from stabbing scene

A 29-year-old Liverpool man who was stabbed during an incident in Cumbria has now been released from hospital.

The emergency services were called out to Pennine Close in Silloth at around 10.30am on Friday following reports of a stabbing.

The man was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. Today Cumbria police have said that the man has since been released from hospital.

A spokesman said: "The man taken to the RVI has since been discharged."

Police put a large cordon in place outside a house in Pennine Close after the incident. The spokesman added that no arrests had been made in relation to the incident.
