Man, 29, in critical condition after being found with serious injuries within Kirkintilloch flat

Police have launched an investigation after a man was found with serious injuries at a flat in Kirkintilloch.

Police and emergency services raced to a property on Braehead Street in the town at 8am yesterday morning after the alarm was raised.

The 29-year-old man was found seriously injured within the property and was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary - where his condition is described as being 'critical'.

Police confirm that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8am on Saturday, 22 August, 2020, police and emergency services were called after a 29-year-old man was found seriously injured within a flat in Braehead Street, Kirkintilloch.

“He was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where medical staff describe his condition as critical.

“Enquiries into the incident are continuing.”
