Man, 29, charged with murder after body found in Wishaw flat

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 28-year-old, whose body was discovered inside a Wishaw flat.

Police found the body after they were called to the property on Crindledyke Crescent around 3.55am on Saturday June 27.

Detective Inspector Frank Travers, senior investigating officer, said: "I would like to thank the local community who engaged with us throughout the weekend and provided information to support our inquiry.

"Community support and engagement during any investigation is extremely important and that ultimately helped this investigation."

The 29-year-old man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court today (Monday, 29 June, 2020).
