Man, 29, arrested for being in possession of gun after 'disturbance' in Drumchapel street

A 29-year-old man has been arrested for possession of a gun after a "disturbance" in Drumchapel.

A stretch of Lochgoin Avenue is cordoned off today (Wednesday) following the incident in the early hours of this morning.

A police spokesperson said nobody was injured and enquiries are being carried out.

Locals reported having restricted access to the roads nearby in the aftermath.

She added: "Around 7am on Wednesday, July 17, police were called to a disturbance within a property on Lochgoin Avenue.

"Officers attended and a 19-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of a firearm."

Enquiries are ongoing.
