Man, 28, left with significant head injuries after serious assault in Paisley

A man has been left with significant head injuries after being seriously assaulted in Paisley.

Police are appealing for information following the incident outside a flat on George Street last night (September 14).

The 28-year-old was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley following the attack just before midnight.

Officers were called to the scene around 11.40pm following reports the man has been seriously assaulted within the close of the property.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman is calling for anyone who may have any information to contact police.

She said: "A 28-year-old male was seriously assaulted on George Street at around midnight on Saturday night.

"We are appealing for any witnesses or taxi drivers working in the area at the time to please contact police on 101."
