
Police are investigating a case of gunshots being fired in the Hunter Valley on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to Cessnock Road at Weston at about 3pm after reports that several shots had been fired in the area.
There they found a 27-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries to his head.
Police said the man's injuries were not gunshot wounds.

Soon after, police found a Toyota Land Cruiser with bullet holes in it on Boundary Street at Kurri Kurri.
The vehicle will be forensically examined.
Police are investigating the circumstances around the incident and are calling for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
