The body of a man has been discovered in a wooded area of Kilmarnock.
The 27-year-old was discovered near Kennedy Drive yesterday at around 4.50pm, police have confirmed this afternoon.
Officials said that there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death in the Ayrshire town.
A report will also be sent to the procurator fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 4.50pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, police were called to a report of the body of a man discovered within a wooded area near to Kennedy Drive, Kilmarnock.
"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
