Man, 26, rushed to hospital after being attacked on Springburn street

A 26-year-old man was rushed to hospital after being seriously assaulted in the Springburn area of the city.

The incident occurred on Petershill Road on Monday (December 21) around 7:10pm.

Police and emergency services were called to the scene and he was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment, the Daily Record reports.

Enquiries to establish what happened are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Around 7.10pm on Monday, 21 December, officers in Glasgow received a report of a serious assault on Petershill Road.

“A 26-year-old man sustained serious injury and was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
