Man, 26, in serious condition in hospital following disturbance in Paisley

A man is in 'serious' condition in hospital after sustaining serious injuries in Paisley last night.

Police and emergency services responded to reports of a disturbance on Hawkhead Road around 8:50pm last night.

The 26-year-old was taken to Golden Jubilee Hospital, Clydebank, where he is described as being in a serious but stable condition.

Police enquiries are ongoing into the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8:50pm on Sunday, October 4, 2020, police received a report of a disturbance on Hawkhead Road, Paisley.

"A 26-year-old man was taken to Golden Jubilee Hospital, Clydebank, with serious injuries where he is described as being in a serious but stable condition.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
