A young man is in hospital after a stabbing in Caldicot. A Gwent Police spokeswoman said the force was called at around 1pm on Thursday with a report of an assault on Newport Road.
"A 26-year-old man attended the Grange University Hospital for treatment," the spokeswoman added. She said the man had sustained stab wounds but was unable to reveal the severity of the injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, can call 101 or send us a direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2200280007," she said.
