Man, 26, fatally shot in Chicago Lawn

A 26-year-old man was killed when he was shot Tuesday in Chicago Lawn on the South Side.

He was in a parked vehicle about 9:35 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Artesian Avenue when he was shot in the abdomen, Chicago police said.

The man was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet released the details of his death.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
