A man has died after a car crashed in Dukinfield last night.
The emergency services were called to Birch Lane after a red Mercedes GLA 200 crashed at around 11.10pm on Friday.
A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital but died later, Greater Manchester Police have confirmed.
No other vehicles were involved, according to the force.
"Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made," said GMP in a statement.
The force's Serious Collision Investigation Unit has started an investigation and has appealed for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
Sergeant Matthew Waggett said: "Our thoughts go out to the family of this young man following this tragic incident.
"We are continuing our enquiries and hopeful that there were witnesses who may have information about the collision that could prove a great help with our investigation.
"We are particularly keen to speak to people who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage in the vicinity of Birch Lane in the lead up or directly after the incident."
