Man, 26, dies after crash on rural road in Pembrokeshire

A 26-year-old man has died after a crash in Pembrokeshire.

The crash happened on the A4076 between the village of Johnston and Milford Haven at around 8.40pm on Sunday, January 10.

The road was closed for several hours as a result.

The crash involved one vehicle only - a Volkswagen Golf - and police have confirmed that the driver died as a result of the incident.

The Welsh Ambulance Service has confirmed that they sent two rapid response vehicles, an emergency ambulance and an immediate care doctor to the scene.

A female passenger who was travelling in the car at the time was taken to hospital in a road ambulance, but police have not disclosed details of her condition.

Crews from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance and remained at the scene for around seven hours, leaving the area shortly before 3.30am.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Officers came across a single vehicle collision on the A4076 between Johnston and Milford Haven at around 8.40pm on Sunday, January 10. A 26-year-old man, who was driving a VW Golf, sadly died as a result of the collision.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision or the VW Golf prior to it is asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police, quoting reference DPP/0016/11/01/2021/C.”
