A man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Joanne Baird.
Joanne, 42, was found in the water at Hey Brook stream at around 2pm on Thursday, June 3, following a major emergency service response.
Her body had been found by two children playing in shallow water behind All Saints Church on Foxholes Road in Rochdale.

At the time, police said they were treating her death as ‘unexplained', though 'not suspicious’.
Despite that, officers also said that 'third party involvement could not be ruled out'.
On Friday (July 2), officers reported that a 26-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Detective Inspector David Crewe, of Rochdale CID Said: "Although we have made this arrest, we are still very much keeping an open mind as to the circumstances surrounding Joanne's death.
"Enquiries are still ongoing and we are still appealing for information from anyone who may have seen or spoken to Joanne in the days leading up to her death."
Joanne leaves behind sons Bradley, 25, Jordan, 23 and daughter Courtney, 18.
Her father, Robert Baird, told the Manchester Evening News he was ‘heartbroken’ at the news of his daughter’s death.
He said: “We’re all devastated. All her brothers and sisters are.”
