A 26-year-old man who is accused of committing sex acts on himself in public has been arrested by police.
Residents raised the alarm after he carried out many indecent incidents in Ayr.
They occurred in Dam Park Road, Hope Street and the River Ayr walkway, Ayr, between April 18 and 26.
Inspector Frank Braddick, of Ayr Polcie Office, said: “A 26-year-old man was arrested following significant enquires by officers.
“We will continue to police those engaged in this form of criminality.”
A man was expected to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court last week in connection with the incidents.
