A 25-year-old man has died after falling from an e-scooter in east London.
The Met Police were called to reports of a crash involving an e-scooter in Newham at 6.12pm on Saturday.
Officers attended the scene on Prince Regent Lane near the junction with Glen Road with London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.
The rider - a 25-year-old man - was declared dead at scene after falling from the e-scooter.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
It is understood that no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Road closures were put in place on Saturday with bus routes diverted.
The death comes after the Government announced it was committed to regulating e-scooters, which are involved in hundreds of serious crashes each year.
Recent Department for Transport (DfT) figures show six e-scooter users were killed in crashes in England in 2023.
A further 416 people were seriously injured, including 343 users and 52 pedestrians.
