Man, 25, charged with road traffic offences after crash on Dundee street

A 25-year-old man has been charged with unspecified road traffic offences after a car crashed into railings late on Thursday.

Images circulated on social media show the vehicle at rest on Lochee Road, Dundee, next to warped metal barriers following the smash.

Other cars can be seen sitting behind the vehicle in the aftermath.

However, no other road user was involved in the smash and no injuries were reported as a result of the collision.

Police Scotland has confirmed that an individual has been charged with unspecified offences in connection with the incident.

A force spokesperson said: "We received a report of a crash involving a single car on Lochee Road in Dundee around 9.45pm on Thursday, 17 December.

"There were no reported injuries.

"A 25-year-old will be reported in connection with road traffic offences."
