Man, 25, arrested in connection with stabbing of 15-year-old boy in Possil

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged serious assault of a 15-year-old boy.

The teenager was rushed to hospital yesterday (Monday, July 29) following reports of him being injured in Saracen Street around 4.30pm.

He was being treated at Glasgow Royal Children’s Hospital for stab wounds last night, and staff described his condition as stable.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed today: “A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
