Man, 24, with mystery stab wounds turns up at hospital asking for help

A 24-year-old man is in a serous condition in hospital after a knife attack in Warrington.

Police were informed after the young man arrived at Warrington Hospital at around 12.30am, on Saturday morning, with stab wounds.

He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition although his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Officers believe the man may have been attacked in the Bewsey area of Warrington.

Detective Constable Joe Davies, from Warrington CID, told the ECHO: “We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry to establish how the man came to sustain his injuries.

“At this stage we believe he was attacked somewhere in the Bewsey area by two men.

“While the investigation progresses I am appealing to anyone who may have seen a man being attacked or been in the Bewsey area that night to get in touch.

“If you have any information including CCTV or dash cam footage which may assist the investigation please come forward.”
