Man, 24, wanted by Slovakian police held after officers raid house

A 24-year-old man who was wanted on an International Arrest Warrant was held by police in Warrington.

Jakub Pollack was held yesterday morning (Monday) after Cheshire Police executed a warrant in Honeysuckle Avenue in the Great Sankey area of Warrington.

Yesterday Warrington police posted a message on social media about the arrest.

The post read: "Male arrested in Sankey area - wanted by Slovakian Police on a European Arrest Warrant for failing to appear for theft offences."

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At around 8.30am on Monday 24 August officers arrested a man wanted on a European Arrests warrant at an address on Honeysuckle Avenue, Great Sankey.

"Jakub Pollack (24) has since been charged with being wanted on warrant. He has been remanded in custody."

"Pollack is set to appear before Westminster Magistrates later today."
