Man taken to hospital after stabbing at shop - no arrests have been made

A man was taken to hospital after a stabbing at a shop in Trafford.

Police and paramedics attended the incident on Great Stone Road, Stretford, at around 7.10pm last night (Thursday).

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital after a stabbing, police said.

His injuries are serious but not life-threatening and he remains in hospital today.

No arrests have been made, a spokesperson for GMP said, and an investigation is going.

Inspector Matthew Harvey, of GMP's Trafford Division, said: "Our investigation is continuing at pace following this awful incident and we will fight tirelessly to find the individuals responsible.

"We'll have police patrols in the area for reassurance, so please do not hesitate to speak to our officers if you have any concerns or questions.
