Man, 24, stabbed to death 'had time for everyone'

Tributes have flooded in for a man who "had time for everyone" after he was stabbed to death in Croxteth.

Kasey Anderson, 24, was stabbed in the chest and leg at around 6.30pm on Saturday, March 11 on Carr Lane East. He was taken to hospital, where he remained in a critical condition for more than two weeks.

Merseyside Police confirmed the 24-year-old died on Friday, March 31. Tributes have flooded in for the "kind" and "polite" man and a GoFundMe page has been created with the hope of raising funds to help Kasey’s family with "any financial help they need".

The description of the GoFundMe reads: "This fundraiser is to help Kasey’s family with any financial help they need. It’s been an agonising near three weeks for them as a family; let’s help them with any financial issues they may have a result.

"Kasey has now unfortunately passed away at the age of 24, far too young to die and in such tragic circumstances. Any donation regardless of the amount would be grateful and appreciated. Thank you."

In a tribute to Kasey, the page's organiser Lauren Lewis, said: "He was a genuine, nice lad. Polite, caring, kind, funny and loved by everyone. He had a caring nature and had time for everyone he came into contact with. He will be greatly missed. 24 years of age."

The GoFundMe page has already raised £8,475 with 292 people contributing in total. A murder investigation is currently underway following Kasey's death.

A 44-year-old man, from Liverpool, was previously held on suspicion of attempted murder and two women, from Liverpool, aged 46 and 49, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and section 18 wounding with intent.

Natalie Bennett, 46, of Carr Lane East, was charged with Section 18 wounding and remains in custody at this time. The man and a woman also arrested in connection with the incident remain on conditional bail pending further enquiries

Detective Inspector Ben Wayment said: "Specialist officers are supporting Kasey’s family in this difficult time, and we continue to ask for anyone with information to come forward if you are yet to do so."
