A 23-year-old man has died after a three-vehicle crash in mid Wales. The collision happened on the A44 near the village of Walton in Powys on Saturday evening.
It involved three vehicles - a silver Ford Focus, which was travelling eastbound, and a red Mitsubishi Shogun and a grey BMW, both of which were travelling westbound.
The driver of the Ford Focus, a 23-year-old, has died as a result of the crash, police have confirmed.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen the fatal crash to come forward.
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the A44 to the west of Walton, Powys, at around 5.30pm on Saturday, December 12.
“Anyone with any information, or anyone with dash camera footage of the vehicles or incident, is asked to contact PC 1169 White at Dyfed-Powys Police’s serious collision investigation unit, quoting incident reference DP-20201212-248.
“Information can be given to Dyfed-Powys Police either online, by emailing @dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk, or by calling 101.”
