Man, 23, dies after being found seriously injured in Ayrshire street as police investigate 'suspicious death'

The death of a 23-year-old man in an Ayrshire street is being treated as suspicious by police.

The young man was found seriously injured on St Margaret's Avenue near to Shaw Place, Dalry last night just after 9pm.

Emergency services raced to the street but the man could not be saved and he died at the scene.

Police confirmed today the death is being treated as suspicious and that enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.05 pm on Sunday, October 10, 2021, police were called after a 23-year-old man had been found seriously injured on St Margaret's Avenue near to Shaw Place, Dalry.

"Paramedics attended, however, the man died at the scene.

"Officers are treating his death as suspicious and enquiries are continuing."
