A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a man in Larkhall.
Shortly after 2am this morning officers received a report of a man being injured within a house in Riverside Road, Larkhall.
Emergency services attended and the injured man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital, where he died a short time later.
The deceased has been named as 23-year-old William Wardrop from Larkhall.
His family said: “William was a much loved dad, brother and fiancé who will be sadly missed by us all. He will remain forever in our hearts.”
Detective Inspector Frank Travers said: “I would like to thank members of the community for their co-operation and assistance during this investigation.”
The 23-year-old arrested man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, 25 May, 2020.
