Police and paramedics rushed to the scene at 2.46am this morning after receiving reports of the attack, where they found the man clinging to life with head injuries.

A police spokesman said he was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

A scene watch remained in place where detectives were today combing the area for clues into the dramatic attack, which triggered a police appeal for information.

The incident took place in the car park of KFC on Farnham Road in Slough, Berkshire, the spokesman said.
