A man's body has been pulled from a reservoir this evening taking the heatwave death toll to seven.
Police said the 21-year-old got into difficulty while in the water at Chasewater Reservoir, Burntwood in Staffordshire, which is a popular attraction for families.
Officers were initially called to the park just before 6pm following reports two people were in danger in the water.
A 13-year-old girl made it out safely, but tragically the man died.
He is the seventh person to have lost their life in the searing heatwave.
Emergency services including West Midlands Ambulance Service, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and Staffordshire Air Ambulance all attended.


The identities of the people involved are known to officers and their next of kin are being informed, a spokesman for Staffordshire Police said.
He added: "We are currently investigating the circumstances around the death of a man in Chasewater Country Park in Burntwood this evening.
"A 13-year-old girl made it safely out of the water, but tragically a 21-year-old man died.
"Officers continue to investigate the circumstances of what happened and are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident 654 of 30 June."
The park and reservoir is a popular family attraction and would have been packed with visitors over the weekend enjoying the hot weather.
As well as walking trails and play areas for children, the reservoir is often used by boats and water skiers.
The park is on land off the A5 and lies on the border of Staffordshire and Walsall.

The tragedy comes as thousands of Brits flock to the water to cool down from the blistering heat.
A 30-year-old man was pulled from the River Clyde just hours after a 63-year-old man was pulled from the water off the coast of Yaverland, Isle of Wight.
Their deaths come after another man had to be pulled from the water in Cornwall.
He was taken ashore and treated by paramedics after reports of a man seen in trouble in the rough seas on Friday.
It follows the deaths of two men, aged 25 and 26, after they were swept off rocks at Anstey's Cove in Torquay.
And a 12-year-old girl, named as Shukri Yahya Abdi , who drowned in a river in Greater Manchester the previous day.
