A man has died after being struck by a car while he was walking along an M56 slip road.
The 21-year-old, thought to be a student, was hit near to junction two for Sharston Link and the first lane of the motorway.
It is understood the man was attempting to hitch a lift when he was struck by the Jaguar XF Saloon.
Emergency crews were called to the incident at 1.10am this morning.
The man was taken to hospital suffering with multiple injuries, where he later died.

Police sealed off the motorway between junction three, for Sharston, and junction one, for Kingsway, following the incident.
The route remained closed until 5am on Friday morning.
Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for anyone with further information to come forward.
It followed an earlier collision involving several cars and a truck on the same motorway yesterday evening.

Two air ambulances were seen arriving at the scene of the collision, which took place near to junction nine for Lymm Interchange.
This section of the motorway also re-opened in the early hours of Friday morning.
