A man in his 20s has been seriously injured following a crash between a car and a motorbike in Co Galway.
The collision occurred on the R446 Oranmore/Loughrea road at approximately 5pm on Wednesday.
A garda spokesperson told the Irish Daily Mirror: "Gardaí were called to the scene of a two vehicle road traffic collision in Oranmore, Co. Galway involving a motorcycle and a car that occurred at approximately 5:00pm on Wednesday 28th August 2019.
"A male in his 20s received serious injuries and was taken to University Hospital Galway.
"Investigations are ongoing."
The R446 road remains closed on Thursday morning following the incident.
AA Roadwatch say the traffic between Oranmore and Craughwell will be diverted via Clarinbridge.
