A man was rushed to hospital following a serious assault in North Dublin last night.
The man, 20s, was taken to Beaumont after the vicious attack in Coolock just before 9pm.
Another man in his 20s has been arrested and is currently being detained in Swords Garda Station.
Gardai sealed off the area in Moatview Court, Priorswood, as they carried out a forensic examination of the scene.
A garda spokesperson said the injuries are not life threatening and the investigation is ongoing.
They said: "Gardaí are investigating a serious assault in Moatview Court, Priorswood D17. A man in his mid 20s was allegedly assaulted by another male and was taken to Beaumont hospital with non life threatening injuries.
"A man in his late 20s was arrested and detained at Swords Garda Station. Investigations are ongoing."
