A man in his 20s was hospitalised after being stabbed in Dublin on Sunday.
He was assaulted on the Shangan Road in Ballymun at around 5.40pm on Sunday evening.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene and the man was taken to the Mater Hospital in Dublin to be treated for stab wounds.
It is understood the man's injures are not believed to be life-threatening.
Gardai say their investigation into the incident is ongoing.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating an assault which occurred on the Shangan Road in Ballymun, Co.Dublin yesterday evening, Sunday 5th December 2021.

"The incident occurred at approximately 5.40pm. A male, aged in his 20s, was later taken to hospital to receive treatment for apparent stab wounds.
"Investigations ongoing."
