Man, 20s, killed in workplace accident in Dublin as investigation launched

A man has died following a workplace accident in Dublin this week.

Gardai have confirmed that they attended the scene after the man passed away at the business premises on the Cappagh Road in Finglas on Wednesday morning.

The man, aged 23, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardai said the Health and Safety Authority has been notified and that investigations into the incident are ongoing.

A spokesman said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a workplace accident at a business premises on Cappagh Road, Finglas, Dublin 11, on the morning of Wednesday 18th August, 2021.

"A man, aged 23 years, was fatally injured during the incident; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The Health and Safety Authority (HAS) have been notified.

"Investigations ongoing."
