A man has been arrested by Gardai following a reported armed robbery on Saturday morning in Balbriggan.
A lone male entered the retail premises in a shopping centre in the area just before 12pm and demanded money.
The man was armed with a knife and a sum of cash was stolen from the shop.

No injuries were sustained and Gardai confirmed that the man, who is in his 20s, was arrested shortly after.
He is currently detained at Balbriggan station under Section 4 of the criminal justice act and investigations are ongoing.
One local said that "the Garda helicopter was hovering around the area for a while following the incident".
