A 20-year-old man has died two days after he was gunned down in a double shooting in east London.
Police found Otas Sarkus with a gunshot wound after being called to Upton Park, Newham, on Wednesday at around 10.50pm.
He was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
A second victim, an 18-year-old man, was found nearby with non life-threatening injuries.
Met Police have now launched a murder investigation following Mr Satkus' death on Friday afternoon.
Scotland Yard said his family are being supported by officers.
A post-mortem examination is due to be held.
No arrests have been made and police are appealing for information.
Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, investigating officer, said she believes a white Volvo SUV was involved in the shooting and is urging anyone with information or witnesses to come forward.
She said: "Our heartfelt thoughts are with Otas's family and friends at this time.
"We have been working tirelessly to try to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident and are today appealing for the public's help with our investigation.
"The shooting happened in a busy residential area, and I am appealing for people to check their dashcams or private CCTV, specifically for any white Volvo SUV/4x4s - which we believe to have been involved - in the areas of Upton Park and Forest Gate between 10pm and 11pm on Wednesday."
