A man has died after falling from a bridge near to the Wallasey Tunnel in Merseyside this morning.
Merseyside Police were called shortly after 7am to reports a man had fallen from a bridge in Oakdale Road, Wallasey, the Liverpool Echo reports.
The 19-year-old, who has not been identified, was treated at the scene and taken to hospital with "serious injuries".
Sadly, he was pronounced dead in hospital.
As a result of the incident, the Wallasey Tunnel was closed for several hours.

Merseytravel tweeted: "Kingsway update: Traffic is now running in one lane only between Liverpool and Wallasey. The nearside lane will remain closed until further notice."
A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said the man's family has been informed of his death and "an investigation is underway."
Officers received a report of a 19-year-old man from Wallasey "having fallen off a bridge in Oakdale Road near to the Wallasey Tunnel entrance".
"He was taken to hospital where he was sadly confirmed as deceased", the spokeswoman said.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage from their car is urged to contact police on 101, quoting reference 0145 of November 18.
