
A 19-year-old NSW man has been charged with murder after an alleged altercation in Civic on Saturday morning.
ACT Policing in a statement said they were called to help a man who had collapsed in Garema Place about 9.45am.
"Despite the first-aid efforts of members of the public, police and ACT Ambulance Service officers, the 29-year-old man died at the scene," the statement reads.
Police said the information they received from witnesses and after they reviewed CCTV footage showed the man who died was involved in an altercation before his collapse.

About 10.30am, a 19-year-old man alleged to have been involved in the altercation was identified and found in City Walk.
Police said he ran from the location and a short foot pursuit occurred before he was arrested in Ainslie Place.
The 19-year-old, of Greenleigh in NSW, was charged with one count of murder and is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday.
