Man, 19, banned from driving after mounting the pavement during police chase in Salford

A man has been banned from driving following a police chase through the streets of Salford.

Jake Beamish, 19, from Eccles, was sentenced to a two-year community order and disqualified for 12 months after leading officers on a pursuit in a stolen Renault Kajar.

Footage shows Beamish driving at fast speeds on the wrong side of the road and into oncoming traffic, as well as driving through red lights.

He is also seen overtaking a number of vehicles and is seen to mount the pavement next to a bus stop on a residential road.

Despite trying to flee from officers, he is still seen to use the car's indicators before making a number of sharp turns.

The pursuit occurred shortly after 5.30pm on October 28, 2018.
