Mamma Mia Party coming to Sunderland with ABBA tribute, Greek food and prosecco

If, when it comes to ABBA you're a proud 'dancing queen' or 'super trouper', there is a summer event happening in the North East which should have you saying 'thank you for the music' with real gusto.

On Friday, July 19, The Palm in Sunderland will host Mamma Mia - The Party, which, as you've probably guessed from the title is a night dedicated to the Swedish super group and the hit films their music spawned.

Expect to hear the likes of Fernando, Waterloo, Voulez-Vous, Dancing Queen and of course Mamma Mia an ABBA tribute duo take on the guises of Agnetha and Freda for the occasion.

Very much in keeping with the Greek location of Mamma Mia and hit sequel Here We Go Again, there will be Greek street food aplenty and a glass of prosecco on arrival.

Fancy dress is very much encouraged and there's an extra incentive to go all out with your costume as there will be prizes for the best costume.

Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.

The party is for over-18s only and tickets are on sale now for the special launch price of £10.

Book up by ringing 0191 516 9009 or emailing info@discoverthepalm.com.
