Mambo No.5 singer Lou Bega confirmed to join Five, 911 and Whigfield at Kubix Festival in Sunderland

Are you still looking for a bit of Monica in your life? Or perhaps a little bit of Erica by your side? Well if a little bit of Rita is all you need you'll want to get yourself a ticket for Kubix Festival ASAP.

And that's because the man responsible for huge worldwide hit Mambo No.5 - Lou Bega - has just been confirmed for the first night of the retro musical festival in Sunderland's Herrington Park.

Lou, now 43 (no offence, we thought he was older!), had a huge hit with Mambo No.5 nearly 20 years ago now and will join many other big acts from the era, including Five, 911, S Club and Whigfield at the first night of Kubix on Friday, July 5.

If you went to the two day event in Sunderland this year you'll know that the Friday night is all about the retro pop, with East 17, B*Witched, Peter Andre, Right Said Fred and Ronan Keating all doing the honours at Herrington Park last July.

Also on the lineup for night one of Kubix 2019 are Boom Boom Boom hitmakers Outhere Brothers and Pump Up The Jam legends Technotronic.

Tickets for Kubix Friday and Kubix Saturday, which features a lineup including Cast and Black Grape, are on sale now  online from the Kubix website priced from £25.
