Malik Tillman wins PFA Young Player of the Year as Rangers star fends off Celtic duo for prized award

Malik Tillman has won the PFA Young Player of the Year award for his work at Rangers the 2022/23 season.

A quartet of candidates were announced recently and there was a stunning inclusion for Albion Rovers man Reilly, who's brilliant solo season for the club who are currently competing to survive in the SPFL via League Two play-offs won the admiration of his peers. It's a magnificent achievement for the youngster who has reported interest from full-time clubs, including Dundee. Reilly also won the League Two Player of the Year.

Malik Tillman's form at Rangers has got him the nod on the shortlist and the trophy, but his minutes have been cut short in the home straight and he has returned to parent club Bayern Munich for treatment on an injury. Now fans wait to see if the American international's loan is turned into a permanent deal come the summer. Celtic had three players nominated for Player of the Year - Kyogo Furuhashi, Callum McGregor and Reo Hatate - and another two champions got the Young POTY nod.

Liel Abada's end product got him on the list and O'Riley's impressive play in midfield for Ange Postecoglou was also enough to see him shortlisted.
