Malik Tillman 'in tears' as Rangers star’s early exit from Celtic sizzler proves emotional moment

Malik Tillman has been left in tears on the Hampden turf after his latest Rangers derby experience in the Scottish Cup semi-finals came to a premature end.

The Bayern Munich loanee went into a tackle with Greg Taylor and came out second best as he pulled up with what the Viaplay Sports commentary team have claimed as a hamstring problem. He was treated on the pitch and looked set to carry on, but eventually Scott Arfield had to be stripped for duty as the playmaker was unable to go on, and has since been spotted in crutches.

And it was a blow too much to bear for the American international who was spotted upset and commentator Rory Hamilton said it was 'tears for Tillman' and a 'disappointing end' as he was left to come to terms with a crushing blow. The 20-year-old has impressed in flashes for the Light Blues this term and they have an option to buy him from the German giants his contract currently sits with.

He has 12 goals and five assists since moving to Glasgow last summer. One of the those strikes was en route to this fixture against Partick Thistle in controversial circumstances after communication broke down over a drop ball in the 3-2 win.
