Malik Hooker says Deon Cain will become ‘household name’

Despite having yet to play in a regular-season game since being drafted in 2018, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Deon Cain has been the subject of immense hype from what he’s shown in practice.

Unfortunately, the hype train came to a screeching halt in 2018 after Cain suffered a torn ACL in the preseason opener. However, it’s picking up steam again this summer as the Clemson product has flashed some high potential during the early parts of training camp.

Even Colts safety Malik Hooker believes in the talent. He went as far as to say that Cain will be a “household name” by season’s end.

Cain has been limited a bit to begin training camp as the Colts want to make sure he’s 100% ready to return from the ACL tear that claimed his entire rookie season.

He flashed some of that talent a bit during the early weeks of training camp, working both as a vertical threat and underneath. What role the Colts will have for him specifically is something we will find out during the preseason.

The hype surrounding Cain has been extremely high dating back to last training camp, but there seems to be immense praise coming from the players watching him on the field.

If all goes well, the Colts will get a glimpse of him during the preseason at some point in the next month.
