Malik Herring returns home, surprises local youth

Recently, UGA defensive lineman Malik Herring returned to his hometown of Forsyth, Georgia to surprise local youth with a “Kids Fun Day.”

“I just wanted to have something for the kids and give back and give them something we couldn’t ever have growing up,” said Herring. “Everything I do, I feel like I wouldn’t have gotten here if it wasn’t for my community. They all supported me through my ups and downs, so I just wanted to give back and show that I appreciate what they’ve done for me.”

Throughout the day, kids participated in many outdoor activities, such as kickball, a game that Herring evidently didn’t take too lightly based on the video.

Events like this are further examples of the great character of the players on this 2019 Georgia team and should make us all proud to be Dawg fans.
