Malik Hall arrives at Michigan State, officially enrolled in classes

In college hoops, you never want to ‘spike the football’ on a prospect until they actually show up to school. Well, for Malik Hall, that day was today as he began his first set of classes this morning.

Hall, a four-star junior Small Forward out of Wichita, Kansas committed to MSU back in November. He is a new type of recruit for the Spartans, leaving high school a year early to join the program. Hall is a 6’7″, 190-pound wing, adding another lengthy wing with size to the perimeter.

Hall gave a nice message to Spartan fans as he heads out to his first round of classes:

Hall joins Julius Marble and Mark ‘Rocket’ Watts to make up the 2019 Spartan recruiting class. Hall and Watts are both four-star prospects, while Marble is a three-star.

It will be interesting to see if Hall gets playing time this season. I think he will likely be more of a factor his Sophomore and Junior seasons, with Aaron Henry and Kyle Ahrens already occupying most of the small forward minutes. However, there is a chance that Izzo could go smaller with Tillman at the 5 and Henry at the 4, with Hall playing some minutes at the 3.
