Malia Obama has bagged her first TV role writing alongside Donald Glover for Amazon, it has been reported.
Sources in the US have told The Hollywood Reporter that after weeks of negotiations, Atlanta actor Glover has secured an eight-figure contract with Amazon to develop content for their Prime video hub.
One of the projects Glove is rumoured to be working on is a new series called Hive, created by Watchmen writer Janine Nabers and based around a 'Beyonce-like' figure.
Insiders say that Hive has already begun hiring staff for a writers room, telling the Hollywood reporter that Malia Obama is one of the recruits.
22-year-old Malia is set to graduate from Harvard University later this year.
Malia, who is the eldest of former President Barack Obama's daughters, has already interned on several hit TV and film productions including HBO's Girls and on CBS drama Extant, alongside Oscar winner Halle Berry.
News of Amazon's deal with Glover has yet to be officially confirmed.
The actor is currently working on seasons three and four of his hit show Atlanta which is due to begin filming again in March.
The latest development comes after it was revealed Glover is working with Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge on a TV remake of the 2005 movie Mr & Mrs Smith.
The award-winning pair will act as executive producers on the series with Francesca Sloane will act as showrunner.

The original movie was noted for marking the start of Brad Pitt and Angelina's romantic relationship after his split from first wife Jennifer Aniston.
